Make your own piece of art!
1) THINK OF SOMETHING THAT IS IMPORTANT TO YOU
Something that reminds you that you are part of something much larger than yourself.
2) WRITE IT OUT ON CANVAS
Perhaps it’s person’s name, or a line of poetry, maybe music lyrics, or a special date, or a symbol.
This becomes your underpainting.
3) TAKE A PICTURE OF THE UNDERPAINTING
At the photo table. We will print this out for later use.
4) PAINT, DRAW OR COLLAGE OVER THE WORDS ON THE CANVAS
Take the time to create and share what is in your heart.
The caveat is that once you’ve finished your artwork
you are not allowed to take this piece home with you.
Rather, you leave the art for someone else,
(along with the printed out underpainting photo)
and swap it out with a piece that was made
by a person who came through the exhibit before you.
